Another great weekend...

It's funny how weekends seem to pass so much quicker than weekdays. Just a blink of the eye and it's over.

We spent another fantastic weekend at the lake. The weather this summer has been fantastic. We enjoyed 30 degree temperatures and were thankful the lake was close by.

Kavan was feeling well again this weekend. I think we were both pooped from the work week and were able to take full advantage of the weekend sleep-in.

Tomorrow it's back to the grind. A week where Kavan has no appointments. Yay!! I hope it's a nice, quiet week for both of us.

  1. It was so fantastic to have Marcelle with us in Canada for ten days! It has been a year since we were together, and she told me she had to come and hug Kavan and tell him how much she loved him. It was really sad to see her leave, but I do hope she knows how much her coming meant to Kavan and the whole family!! We love and will miss Marcelle... Kavan, Dad and I are so proud of you and we love you more than you will ever know. Have a wonderful week, Darling! Ashley, thank you so much for the wonderful blog which keeps everyone informed about the latest news. We appreciate how much time and effort you put into the blog!! Love, Mom

  2. It is heartwarming to read how well you are dealing with this cousin. I am so proud of you. I met with PJ on Friday and he sends his love. I am looking forward to finding out all about my mum's trip to see you this evening and all my love and prayers are with you. Marc x

  3. Hi Kavan,

I'm a classmate from the U of A and I heard about your blog on Twitter and from a few friends who mentioned your situation. I am sorry to hear of your cancer diagnosis but I know you will pull through. You have such an amazing friend and family network behind you. I have been very inspired by your blog so thank you for keeping life in perspective for us. You are such a strong person and I am literally in awe of you and your spirit during this complex journey.

I work in Communications & Marketing for the Alberta Cancer Foundation and I would love the opportunity to profile you for our blog or other written publications. Your story, especially being of the younger generation facing cancer while amazingly working and carrying on with your life, is one that would resonate with donors. You can get in touch with me at ashton.paulitsch@albertacancerfoundation.ca. If there are any additional resources I can connect you with, please don't hesitate to ask. I want to help as much as I can!

    Best of luck to you.

    Kind regards,

    Ashton Paulitsch, B.Comm
